Happy Monday. How’s it going out there?
I’ve worrying about the hurricane in NC. It’s affecting soo many people and I can’t believe how bad the flooding is, even away from the coast. Bald Head is mostly underwater at the moment and no one has been able to get over there to check on my parents’ house. I’ve been thinking about all those impacted by the storm and hope things improve soon! I donated to Blueprint, but here’s a couple of other organizations.
We spent last week getting back into the swing of things after our trip. It was a surprise that Emerson had no trouble transitioning back to east coast time. She woke up crying a few times in the 5’s and 6’s, but quickly fell back asleep; she has been taking really long naps since we got back too! I think the 2-year molars are starting to hurt, though, because she hasn’t been eating much and is soo cranky. Fingers crossed she feels better soon because she’s going to be a flower girl this weekend! Who knows how that will go…
The overcast skies and leaves are making it feel like fall just a bit over here. We’ve still got warm temps in the 80’s most days, and I’m ready for it to cool off. Feels more like Dallas than NYC.
Emerson is starting a little class called Practically Preschool tomorrow (it’s just once a week for now), and I’m excited for her to get more time with toddlers her age. She’s soo into other kids now, and is more eager than ever to get out of the house and play.
That’s about all the news over here. I’m ready for the wedding weekend and some time with my college bff’s!
