Howdy from the plane! Ten years ago, who would have thought that I could capture a digital image while flying through the air, blog about it, and display the imagine on a site that can be accessed by any person on the internet? Did I mention that while all this is going on, I’m also watching a personal movie about Tina Fey having a baby through a surrogate mother? Oh, technology.
Fashion Friday anyone?
I spent most of my time at work today writing a report, which meant I just got to take it easy on the couch with my laptop. I’m using my old laptop from college at work, so I listened to music from about 4 years ago. Isn’t it amazing how one song can bring back so many memories? Writing the report wasn’t so bad if I pretended I was back in the Davidson library working hard on a paper, anticipating the evening’s events.
I skipped the gym three times this week and I loved every minute of it. I’m just not one of those people who can work out with a cold and it was really nice to rest. However, I did manage to take a walk along the esplanade with Lauren in the beautiful 70-degree autumn weather. I was feeling pretty bad after work, but actually felt much better after getting some fresh air.
Then I met up with Matt and headed to the airport. We had planned on grabbing sandwiches from Quizno’s to eat on the plane, but our local store was closed. Plan B was to eat at the airport. I thought I could handle a beer with just a cold, but after about half of this sampler, my head felt worse:(
Food, on the other hand, really hit the spot. Sometimes you just need a burger, preferably one covered in bleu cheese.
Matt and I split this huge helping of sweet potato fries and the Back Bay Bleu burger.
It.was.heavenly. I rarely order real burgers; I need these more regularly! And if my intestines accept this gift without complaint, I’ll consider it a great day.
I’ve got to go enjoy my in-flight OJ and get back to my movie…it’s actually really funny. I’ll hopefully be blogging from NC tomorrow, but for now, I’ll leave you with a photo of my future dessert:

October 9, 2010 at 7:42 amWhat are your thoughts about when in the season one can start wearing boots? We were talking about this at work last week in Charlotte. We weren’t sure if it was time yet to break them out with the crazy high and low weather fluctuations. Thoughts?

October 9, 2010 at 5:02 pmI’d say wear them when it’s cold enough to need a light coat. I usually try to put off wearing them at least for a little while because I know I’ll live in them all winter long.

October 9, 2010 at 1:42 pmLoving Tuesday and Thursday’s looks this week.
Way to take care of yourself and skip the ‘cise this week. Being alive when you’re sick is really hard enough. Sweating? How unappealing.
Have a restful weekend – you deserve it!
