Dough Perfection

Uncategorized

Good afternoon bloggies,

I practically bounded out of bed this morning because I was so excited to have a free Saturday. Between last week’s case study and our mini-trip, I feel like I haven’t had a Saturday to just do things around the house.

Despite how I was feeling yesterday, Friday evening ended up being very nice. It was actually really fun to have an excuse to take a nap on a Friday afternoon, and I woke up feeling ten times better. Of course, I had to celebrate with a brew, so Matt and I went to our neighborhood bar for a round. I had the Berkshire Brewing Co. Dean’s Beans Coffeehouse Porter. I know I’ve had this before, but perhaps it was before I began blogging? It’s phenomenal and very rich!!!!

After we left the bar, cheese and I became friends again. I went six days with absolutely no dairy, and I saw no improvement what-so-ever, so I’m slowly bringing the dairy back, starting with cheese. With three days straight of stomach aches, I think I’m going to eliminate the soy again and do a trial without coffee:(

I couldn’t be happier about the cheese though, because pizza makes me incredibly happy.

I made a bbq shrimp pizza using this awesome new sauce I picked up last week. I love tangy bbq sauce and this one was superb.

But what really made the pizza, was the fluffy crust. I’ve finally perfected my homemade crust!!!! This is the third time I’ve made it and the trick was to let it rise for 2 full hours (the recipe says 1) and bake at 500 instead of 400.

It was crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. Fantastic.

After four pieces, a movie, and a Harpoon chocolate stout (aka pure milkshake), I was a quite content.

I went to spinning this morning, so I’m relaxing, cleaning, maybe taking a walk, and having dinner with friends for the rest of the day. Hooray!

It seems to me you have more links to soy than anything else. plus, didn’t you just have soy sauce? That might have taken 3 days to get through.

Hi, I’ve been following your blog for a while and thought I would finally leave a comment! The pizza looks so delicious, I can’t believe you made the dough yourself. 🙂

Looking forward to reading more about your food adventures!

      Hi!
      I just realized I can’t post the recipe since it’s in a cook book I bought…
