Immediately after landing yesterday, I was whisked away to beer heaven by Matt’s Dad. Sometimes I miss strip malls…
The Wine Corridor was stocked deep and wide with beer and there was one whole aisle dedicated to mix and match singles. The loot:
Boy, am I lucky that Matt’s parents love trying new beers as much as I do. I had some of the Java Head stout (which I had on my birthday) and I tried a local Clipper City Winter Storm.
It was hoppier than the nutty winter brews I’ve been drinking lately, which was a nice change for my palate.
Matt’s mom also prepared lots of delicious appetizers. Who doesn’t love seven layer dip? Beer + appetizers + great conversation = a perfect way to kick off the holiday:)

You guys know I don’t really do cold, so it wasn’t pleasant at first, but by the end, I felt nice and sweaty. We quickly showered and had breakfast, because we are currently en route to Baltimore to visit my grandmother!!!
I’m just so excited to be out enjoying life:) See ya!
