Thank you all for the Congrats! I’ve passed them along to Matt. It’s fun knowing that there are Durham readers out there too:)
Friday was the perfect celebration. I took Matt to a cute Indian restaurant in the heart of the south end.
We enjoyed an awesome bottle of of spicy French wine, compliments of my mom!
We chose a vegetarian entrée, so we decided to order the meat appetizer sampler to get a taste of everything. I wasn’t that impressed with the chicken pakora or the lamb, but the tandoori chicken was awesome and the meat samosa was fun.
Everything else was to-die-for. We ordered naan stuffed with garlic and potatoes.
Shrimp masala
and a modern Indian dish called subz panchmael: red, yellow, and green peppers, artichokes, asparagus and bean spouts stir fried with panch phoran flavored tomato and green cardamom sauce.
with basmati of course.
Yall know I love big bowls of rice with sauces, so this meal was just divine in my eyes.
The blue devil himself:
We didn’t want the celebration to end with dinner, so we walked over to the Parish cafe for a Belgian style Brooklyn Local. We split the big guy and chatted about fun future things like having a guest room and rescuing a kitty!
ps: loved this beer, but it doesn’t beat la fin du monde!
Gotta go finish my case study. Be back tonight!
