Weekends just come and go so quickly:(
Around eight last night, I found myself drooling over this delicious piece of meat at Tasty Burger. I had planned on ordering the veggie burger, but when the waitress said it was actually made of tofu and not vegetables, I decided it wasn’t for me. My body does not seem to be a fan of soy products. It took me a moment to get over how much grease was dripping from he burger, but once I took a bite, I realized the burger was HEAVENLY. I’m not really one for greasy burger joints, but this place was pretty cute, and for $6, it was a dam good [gorgonzola] burger.
Matt and I also split a Kona Coffee Porter with our burgers.
We headed over to Landsdowne Pub for a friend’s birthday gathering. I ordered a dark n stormy and thoroughly enjoyed the change of taste from my usual pint.

Today was generally lazy with a little gym and errands thrown into the laziness. I had planned on making Kath’s clam chowder for dinner, but TJ’s was surprisngly out of maine clams, so I bought a bag of frozen broccoli instead and added a little chicken broth to make up for the lack of juice from the clams.
The variation was pretty good, but a little too potato-y for me without the clams. Bacon and cheese make everything better. I’m pretty excited to have extra pieces of bacon for sandwiches this week, because it’s not something we normally have in the house.
.
I’m headed to bed on the early side because I have class and a meeting after work tomorrow, and I don’t want to be too tired for my valentine. Matt and I are planning to grab a late dinner because we’ll take any excuse we can get to celebrate with food.
I don’t love the holiday, but I sure don’t hate it either:) Anyone have any fun Valentine’s day (or anti-Valentine’s day) plans??

February 14, 2011 at 8:49 amI think Valentine’s Day is great because it means we can celebrate love! Woohoo! We’re just staying home and Matt is cooking dinner for me, which is a nice change of pace. I’m hoping it’ll be warm enough to go for a walk!
Happy V-Day!
