Today, I took my first official sick day. But it wasn’t that fun because I felt sick:( I’m not sure if this is a cold or something else, but I just feel blah and my throat is sore. So, I caught up on sleep, read my novel, and watched a a ton of tv. I wasn’t up for exercise, but I did walk to the grocery store for an orange just to see how I’d feel getting off the couch and going out into the world…still blah.
My appetite was weird today so dinner was random. I made a green monster consisting of a wheat grass packet I had leftover from some event along with banana, orange, strawberries, spinach, and almond milk.
I also had a piece of toast made from Great Harvest cheddar bread (!) and a slather of tomato basil spread…
and a sweet potato turned fries.
I’m loving my Sex & the City marathon….it reminds me of my single college days, except that I was never single in college. Still, I used to watch it all the time in those days and dream of living in the big city. Now I live in the big city and I dream of the south. I mean, Carrie was never cold and she certainly didn’t carry her groceries ten blocks in the snow. The grass is always greener, don’t you think?
Adios.

March 23, 2011 at 8:43 amI would have loved to see how Carrie handled grocery shopping, hehe. I can only imagine how full her cab would be. The only scenes I remember like that were her only picking up a couple of items at a time.

Saltines and grape jelly… that’s all I can recall her talking about “making” at home.
