– I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week! We’re hosting, and I think it will be really nice not to travel this year. I can’t wait for Matt’s parents to meet Emerson. We’re having most of the classics, but I’m just going to order a carrot cake this year, and try my hand at a green bean casserole variation.
-I can’t believe how quickly Emerson is changing. We’ve seen a few smiles this week and her eye contact is soo much better. She’s much more content when she’s awake and even falls asleep when she’s not in our arms (but doesn’t really stay asleep). One month checkup today!
-Have you guys watched Transparent on Amazon? Matt and I are just finishing season 3, and it’s one of the best shows I’ve watched in a while. I took a class on human sexuality in grad school, and always found the topic fascinating.
-People always talk about increasing milk supply, but why does no one ever talk about over-supply? I had no idea that this was a thing, until I finally had a lactation consultant tell me that’s what’s going on. I thought Em was crying during some feedings because her tongue still hurt (she had a tongue tie procedure), but it turns out she was just getting way too much milk and had big burps!
-I never splurge on house decor or kitchen stuff, but I impulse purchased this candle after reading Kath’s post. I’m definitely getting more into online shopping now that leaving the house is more difficult. Thank goodness for Amazon Prime in those first few weeks.
-I love my AG maternity jeans so much that I don’t think I’ll ever stop wearing them.

November 19, 2016 at 12:35 pmMy second daughter was born the same day as Emerson, so I love your updates! Especially love your maternity jeans comment as I tried my reg jeans on yesterday and they barely buttoned…back to elastic waist jeans for now! Emerson is such a pretty baby!
