Emerson has gotten into pretend play and it’s just the cutest. I caught her feeding her baby with a spoon:)
I haven’t nursed Emerson since November 28th, and I can still squeeze out milk (sorry if that’s TMI) – did other weaning mamas feel like it took a while?
I’ve turned into such a homebody. I’ve been keeping Emerson in more due to the crazy viruses circulating – at first, I was going stir-crazy, but now I’ve come to enjoy quiet mornings playing with toys and reading books at home.
I’ve been in a bit of a fitness slump since we moved. Maybe it’s the walking or the physical therapy I’ve been doing (more on that in another post), but I feel like I need so much recovery time for aches and pains. Between this and avoiding gym childcare, I haven’t feel very inspired.
My heart hurts after yesterday’s EIGHTEENTH school shooting this year. It’s impossible not to mention this today, and I, like many of you, feel soooo helpless. Would love to hear your [constructive] comments on what steps moms can take to bring about change.
On a more positive note, I had a lovely Valentine’s day that included dinner with a friend who was in town. We ordered pizza and drank wine and made ice cream sundae’s for dessert.

February 15, 2018 at 11:42 pmMy son rarely nursed after 12 months and stopped completely at 15 months old. He is nearly three-and-a-half and can still hand express milk.

February 16, 2018 at 11:59 amI remember my daughter started to pretend play by pretending to grab Cheerios from behind the couch and eat them. It was the cutest thing ever.
