Bermuda. Easy to get to from the east coast for a long weekend, and prices are a bit more reasonable in the fall. Plus, hurricanes are slightly less likely than they are in the Caribbean and it’s a fast trip home if one is heading that way. Oh, and it’s gorgeous and a good way to forget that winter is coming.
Greenport, Long Island. We took a trip here in the spring, but I’d love to go back in the fall when the weather is picture-perfect and all the farms are open. I also love going to wineries in the fall and there are lots of good ones out there.
Glamping in Asheville. I haven’t been to Asheville, NC in maybe 10 years, but I hear it’s very hip with an incredible dining scene. There are a couple of great breweries, and of course, hiking. I’m hoping we can tack this on to a trip to see my parents some day soon.
Portugal. We’re heading here on our big summer/fall trip! The temps are supposed to be great, and I’m hoping it’s a little less crowded in September. The flights were also the cheapest tickets to Europe we’ve ever purchased!

Quebec City. Quebec starts getting cool like the minute September hits, so it’s fun to go in the fall and warm up in the little French bistros with steak frites and wine. Plus, the architecture and European feel make it very romantic.
What trips are you all planning?

August 2, 2018 at 9:18 amNo more trips for us right now as baby arrives 10/7! But we went to Portugal in June as our baby moon and loved it! Our weather was not good though, so here’s hoping it’s nice for you!

August 2, 2018 at 11:48 pmQuebec! It is wonderful and so worth it. You feel like you are in Europe without the flight! Manoir sur la Cap is the perfect hotel for a getaway (stayed there for a romantic weekend and we would go back).

August 6, 2018 at 7:45 pmAre you taking your baby to Portugal? It’s on my bucket list and wondering if it’d be a good place to take our 14 month old.

August 6, 2018 at 7:46 pmWe are! A bunch of people on my Facebook group in Brooklyn have taken young kids, and said it’s super family-friendly

August 23, 2018 at 11:53 pmI love Portugal so much! I went to Portugal on my honeymoon (and a few other trips). I have some relatives that took a younger baby/toddler there twice and had great experiences. It was really family friendly, people loved seeing their little boy out and about, it all worked out super well.
I’m in the middle of planning a late fall trip to Stockholm. We’ve been before but have never been able to visit free of family obligations and (sadly) the fall/winter weather in Sweden is better than the weather where I live a lot of the time.
