Is anyone else so happy shorts season is over? I’m not a fan and am so much more comfortable in jeans.
I’m so excited – I ordered Green Piñata Toys (so cool) for Emerson’s birthday as well as a funfetti cake from Milk Bar!!
I’ve had some dysplastic moles in the past, so I went for my 6 month check up today. Can I just say that having someone examine every inch of my body under a bright light is more uncomfortable than seeing my OBGYN? Even Emerson was crying during the exam.
I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been such a home-body since we got back from Portugal. Em has been napping later, and we’ve just been enjoying late afternoons around the apartment. I’m thinking the trend will continue, as I’m very excited for cozy fall temps and nights with red wine on the couch.
I’m thinking about upgrading my down comforter (I got the thin one when I moved to Texas), and want you guys to tell me the thickest, most luxurious down comforter out there. Like the ones they had in the old days when they slept with fire places and braids.
I guess it was daughter’s day this week, so I’ll just repeat what Jessica Clarendon wrote earlier, “May all of our daughters grow up without her trauma but with her strength.”

September 28, 2018 at 9:30 amThank you for the quote at the bottom. 🙁 Let’s all call senators today and remind them of our values. Regarding duvets–a note of caution that we got a huge one and it is just toooo hot, like uncomfortable to sleep in and we keep our home cold in the winter! I’m not sure of the temps in your apt, but you may not want a huge down comforter if you are sensitive to overheating…
