This past week has been a true whirlwind with so many ups and downs! The good news is we are finally feeling settled and love our house and neighborhood! Our travel went smoothly and our truck arrived early in our delivery window. We’ve had some hiccups with the house (plumbing, heating, outdoor flooding) which was a rude reminder that home ownership is no piece of cake. I think it’s worth it though, and I have to pinch myself when I walk into this kitchen.
Emerson is getting one of her two year molars and has been having a really hard time. I think the change is also exciting for her, but draining…she’s been having frequent meltdowns. I’m hoping she’ll settle down soon, but I’m not so sure with Christmas travel coming up. Speaking of Christmas, I haven’t thought about it at all aside from buying my secret Santa and Em’s gifts. It’s so soon! Emerson actually met Santa for the first time at the mall and told him she wanted a Jellycat animal. She wouldn’t sit on his lap without me, but she wasn’t too upset about it.
We also toured a morning preschool program for Emerson and LOVED it! There are so many affordable options down here and I think she’s going to have a grand time. She threw a huge fit when we had to leave the playground.
I hope to take some pictures of the house as we unpack, but in the meantime, have merry merry Christmas

December 23, 2018 at 9:48 amIt was kind of crazy! We had a realtor searching for us, and we both flew down separately in the fall to see it
