Yesterday was the most relaxing flight experience we’ve had with a kid – no scary taxi cab on crazy NYC highways and I sat across the aisle while Matt and Em did a new sticker book for the one hour flight.
My new Toms arrived Tuesday and I really like them (haven’t had a pair of Toms in a while) – they have a slightly metallic gold sheen to them.
Emerson literally squealed for ten minutes straight when she first saw the beach.
I’m trying the Countersun Mist on this trip and really like it so far. I’ve also tried Bare Republic, Garden Goddess, Babo, and Babyganics sprays, and the Countersun is the only zinc spray that does not leave you looking like a ghost or super greasy.
This little lady woke up at 6:20 and wanted her wet diaper off and threw a huge fit about putting a new one on. Vacations sure are different with kids, but I’m just happy if I don’t have to cook and constantly clean up the house. Also, Matt hasn’t had time off (other than Thanksgiving and Christmas) since last September, so vacations these days are more about getting to hang out as a family versus true relaxation bliss (remember those days of laying by the pool for like 8 hours with only a break for lunch and drink refills? Ha.).
We got Emerson a puddle jumperpuddle jumper and she tried it for the first time this morning – she kept yelling “I’m swimming, I’m swimming.” I’m excited for her to do some swimming lessons this summer because she has zero experience in the water other than floating in pools with us.
Rosemary Beach is gorgeous and unlike any other place I’ve been in Florida. I’m excited to explore a bit more each day. Hoping to get a Five Daughters gf donut tomorrow!
Happy Easter to those who celebrate!
