We are having a blast on our annual Bald Head beach week. Emerson is at a great age for playing in the surf and digging in the sand, so it’s been very relaxing compared to the previous two years!
She was SOOOO excited when we arrived at the ferry because she finally understood where we were going.
We’ve been spending our mornings on the beach, and nap time either on the porch or out and about on the island if my mom babysits.
The Bald Head Island club also has an amazing new pool complex complete with a toddler splash park and small slide. It’s wonderful and I can’t wait to sip an alcoholic drink poolside here next year:) I haven’t missed it that much this pregnancy until this week.
Birth is at such a cute age and reminds me that babies are so much easier than toddlers.
We’ve eaten most of our dinners at home and are taking turns cooking, but we did go out to the Shoal’s Club for the half price appetizer night. We are also heading out on a double date night tonight with my sister once the kids are bathed and in their PJ’s.
Mazen and Emerson have been playing lots of games together and have had a few brother/sister style tiffs when they get tired or hungry. It’s so cute to hear them having their own conversation.
And these two have been getting so much quality time together!!
And of course, we’ve been enjoying ice cream or pie every night. I brought some of the salted caramel sauce from Trader Joe’s and it takes ice cream to the next level.
Adios!
