Here’s a little peek at baby Allen’s nursery!
It’s a little bit plain/simple for two reasons. One: I was too tired this time around to plan every little detail and decided it was too expensive to do wallpaper or deal with paint, which is really what this bright white room needs. And, two: because after using Emerson’s room (well the stuff in it) for 3 years, I realized that the decor and room will evolve as baby acquires stuff and we see how the space functions.

I hit the huge Pottery Barn Kids sale at Memorial Day and bought all the big things we needed (crib, rug, chair, book shelf, curtains) at once to get the biggest discount. And then I filled in the gaps over the summer.
The Look At The Stars prints I found at Oopsydaisy inspired the loose star theme and colors, and then I ordered this mobile on Etsy.

I found the stool at Homegoods and bought a yard of the glider fabric to reupholster the stool ($50) rather than buy the matching ottoman for $350.

The rainbow print was a gift from my mom from Fy. We moved all the baby books into the nursery since Emerson’s book shelf is overflowing.

I’m also ordering one of these beautiful name signs (with a different name, obv:) to go on the wall to the left of the chair.
And that’s it!
