Baby Avery is Here!

Just popping in to introduce Miss Avery Elizabeth Allen!  She arrived at 11:16pm on October 3rd weighing 8lbs 1oz!

We are thrilled that she’s here and healthy, and can’t stop staring at her tiny face.

Grammie brought Emerson to the hospital the next morning to meet Avery, and she was super excited and a bit in awe, I think.

Em wanted to hold her immediately and just kept saying, “Mom, she’s so tiny.”

We brought her home on Saturday, and although Emerson has been really wound up and testing the limits, we are settling into our new normal.

I’ll share a birth story at some point, but Avery came quickly compared to her sister, and the physical recovery has been much easier this time around!  Other than her refusing to sleep or settle between the hours of 12AM and 4AM, we are finding the newborn stage much easier than having a toddler:)
