How are you guys? Can you believe how much has changed in just a week? A much as I hate having to stay home, I’m relieved that the country seems to be on the same page now. In the big scheme of things, it’s an easy sacrifice for us to make for others in the community, and I’m grateful that staying home is an option for us right now. I can’t stop thinking about all the small businesses that will be hurting so much from the forced closure that our governor just announced. I’m trying to support local businesses as much as possible – especially if that means ordering a half dozen donuts:)
All the togetherness has us eating good food, spending time outside, and noticing more around us. If people weren’t dying and experiencing so much financial stress, I’d stay it’s nice for us to slow down a bit. But there’s just so much uncertainty so it’s really hard to enjoy the slowing down when we don’t know what’s to come. I’m hoping to keep blogging/posting on social media when I can find the time because I find it’s a nice distraction and it helps me feel more connected. I’ll leave you with a list of things I’m feeling very grateful for. Feel free to add yours in the comments. Stay healthy [and stay home if you can]!!!
My neighborhood, spring flowers, my yard, Matt’s ability to work from home, Charlotte’s mild weather, the internet, our community, good food, doctors & scientists, being able to exercise, and quality kid TV:)

March 18, 2020 at 3:17 pmTeachers. Ours did so much to provide us with schedules, school work, projects, daily reminders, etc. to help with the time out of school. Now having our 7 and 4 year olds home all day, we are more thankful than ever for all they do.

From a nurse currently recuperating from a confirmed covid case myself.
