-How are you all? I’m almost too tired to think. I can’t even imagine how these reporters feel staying up late into the night for days. Their concealer must must be amazing.
-We had a taste of winter weather over here, but I’m excited for a weekend back in the 70’s. It’s hard thinking about winter knowing that indoor activities aren’t really an option this year.
-We had a fun time at the zoo last weekend. We celebrated my dad’s birthday and Emerson saw her first live lion after being obsessed with the Lion King for the past year.
-After almost a year of waiting, Beautycounter deodorant is here! The coconut scent is my fav.
-Avery is either grumpy or hilarious all the time right now. I think she’s had a big mental leap because she’s starting to walk around the house and said dog for the first time.
-Halloween totally exceeded my expectations this year. Our neighborhood cancelled the formal parade and there were rumors of no trick-or-treating on Nextdoor. But people got creative by hanging candy on trees and setting up tables with little bags and it ended up being a wonderful experience for Emerson. I enjoyed sipping bourbon and people watching (something I miss!).
-Send some good casserole recipes my way. I need some winter/Sunday meal prep ideas to save time during the week.

November 6, 2020 at 6:19 pmNot sure which zoo you visited, but when we lived in Charlotte our little one loved the Lazy 5 Ranch. Such a cute experience and you can drive through in your own car (which is super Covid friendly) or hop on their wagon rides. Miss that place.

November 10, 2020 at 3:55 pmThanks! It’s been on our list, but I have heard the wait times are crazy with Covid. Maybe we can try it on a week day some time…

November 10, 2020 at 3:54 pmThanks! It’s funny that you share this one because it was one of my go-to’s! But it’s too spicy for the girls, so I stopped making it recently.

November 10, 2020 at 3:42 pmHave you tried Native deodorant? Curious how the Beautycounter stacks up against them, since cost wise Native has a set of 3x .35 oz minis (1.05 oz total) for $9 whereas beauty counter is charging $49 for 4x .15oz minis (0.6 oz total)… seems super pricey!!

November 10, 2020 at 3:53 pmSo the mini’s are actually .52 OZ each, so it would be ~2oz total. But the mini’s are a bit more pricey than the regular size that will be coming out in January, which will be $28 for 2.11OZ and the refill will be $18. I have tried Native and found I was still smelly with it. Plus, I’m willing to pay more for Beautycounter because I know they are committed to sustainability, advocacy at the federal level, ethical sourcing of ingredients, and are a certified B corp.!
