I promised more detailed posts from the wedding weekend, so here’s the Thursday night recap! Because most of the rentals on the island required three-night minimum stays, and we knew our guests were spending a lot of money to travel, Matt and I ultimately decided to do bachelor and bachelorette parties on Thursday night. We had separate pre-parties and then combined the festivities on a boat that we chartered from nearby Carolina Beach. Since there’s only a small grocery store…

I can’t believe it’s been five years since college! It was so much fun to return to campus for our reunion. We stayed in the dorms – it was very festive, but I can’t believe how small those rooms are. And the beds are terribly uncomfortable. I didn’t do a whole lot of sleeping though:) Highlights of the weekend included seeing my friends again and catching up with those who weren’t at the wedding, walking around the adorable town of…
I’m home, and slightly sad that it’s over, but really just happy that everything was fabulous. The whole wedding weekend was probably the best weekend of my life, and it meant so much to me that friends and family traveled from all over the country. I’ll recap all three night soon! So what’s next? Well, I went back to work today – the official end of the school year isn’t until next week. Matt has already started some major cleaning…
Yesterday was more perfect than I could have ever imagined. I married my best friend and celebrated with loved ones until the early morning hours. And the greatest part? I get to keep him!…
I want to say it was a super relaxing weekend – that everything is all set and ready to go and we enjoyed salads and tranquility. Instead we ran around the house like crazy people and then engaged in some emotional eating afterwards:) Life is good. I didn’t exactly plan for the whole packing thing, and now I’m regretting some of the DIY projects I took on – why would I think it’s a good idea to transport boxes of…
-I packed up one of my offices today – crazy, and so exciting -Tornadoes scare the sh*t out of me and I can’t imagine what the people of OK must be going through – makes wedding decor seems like the stupidest thing in the world -Matt is keeping me sane by doing a million things – he made mini burgers tonight that turned out awesome! Can’t wait to eat more burgers at summer bbqs -I just got super excited to…
Despite how crazy life is these days, yall know I fit a little relaxation into Friday and Saturday evenings! My brain has reached max capacity with details and planning, so I asked Matt to plan something low-key for Friday night. So we went on a picnic! We had hoped to check out the music at the American Tobacco Campus, but they no longer allow coolers – bummer! We made the best of it by finding a nice grassy patch outside…
Matt and I had plans to dine with friends at The Lantern yesterday, but it was closed for a private function! I was bummed because it was a spot I really wanted to get back to, but we went to the next best modern Asian restaurant – Jujube! Our dinner dates were into sharing too, so we split a bunch of small plates and then Matt and I shared an entree: warm kale salad with mangoes, pork belly dumplings, pineapple,…
