It was so nice to have a lot of down-time at home. Although we didn’t have many plans, it quickly turned into a busy weekend. Back up to last week – Emerson did the rapid results swimming lessons all week and she LOVED it. And I loved staying dry and watching the expert work with her. She put her head under the water for the first time and seemed really comfortable in the water. Em was kinda off all week…
Pregnancy
Where do I begin? We had the most luxurious weekend – sleeping in, reading by the pool, doing absolutely no cooking/cleaning/bedtime duties! I got the longest consecutive hours of sleep since Emerson was born and it was the longest I’ve been away from her – the other 3 times I’ve left for very short trips I was more nervous, but this time felt different. She finally understands that we come back when we leave and she is able to articulate…
I’m nesting like crazy over here. It’s more intense this time around because: We haven’t been in our house that long and there are still a bunch of things I want to work on Emerson was in camp for 3 weeks this summer and I felt like I had to accomplish all.the.things during those 3 weeks. I want to spend some good quality one-on-one time with her in August rather than be running to Homegoods and such. Having one baby…
-After returning three backpack diaper bags (Skip Hop, Land – aka a million fake versions of this “brand”, and Mina Baie), I ordered the Freshly Picked bag in Birch and think it’s the one!. It’s very similar in size to my Hershel, but looks a little nicer for my daily bag and has more pockets, including exterior water bottle pockets which were a must! Also, you can use the 20% off coupon at Buy Buy Baby which made the price…
As I head towards the third trimester in a few weeks, I’m starting to think to my to-do and to-buy lists. Luckily, this time around, these lists aren’t quite as long. One of the best things about this pregnancy has been being able to relax a bit more (well, mentally, not physically) because I generally know what’s to come. I’m giddy with excitement because I can’t wait for the baby stage. I’m less worried about labor (although still anxious that…
Billie Razors – I’m loving my new razor (although I cut myself just this morning..). It seems just slightly sharper/better than Venus, but is so much cheaper ($9 for 4 blades), and I appreciate that I never have to worry about going out to buy them because they arrive automatically. Lily Lolo Mascara – finally found a clean mascara that I’m happy that it’s not crazy expensive. Puracy Stain Remover – I read about this on PB Fingers and love it!…
Hello out there, I feel like it’s been a while since I just sat down and chatted with you all. Time is moving so fast these days, and I know that summer is going to fly by. Last weekend, four of my college friends came to town to shower one of our other friends with gifts for her bundle of joy. I’m so excited that these friends are starting to have babies. Watching each other become mothers was definitely not…
We are thrilled to be expecting another GIRL!!! I think Emerson and Matt were rooting for a boy, but we are all just thankful for a normal anatomy scan. And I’m excited to reuse all my girl stuff. Plus, sisters!!! Our gluten free gender reveal carrot cake was made by the talented Batachmaker and was seriously one of the best cakes (gf or glutenous) I’ve had in my entire life. That cream cheese icing!!!! Beautycounter Giveaway Congrats to Courtney (ckafarian@gmail.com)…
It seems everyone and their brother sister is writing that skincare post. I’m going to do the same because I’ve discovered so many great skincare/beauty/household products through blogs and social media. I want to pass along the favor to anyone who might be looking to try something new! It has taken me nearly 3 years to switch most of my skincare, makeup, and hair products to cleaner/safer alternatives both because I couldn’t afford to buy everything at once and because…
