Oxo Tot Travel Potty I don’t think we could have made it through potty training/summer time without this! We’ve used it at the park, on the beach, in the trunk of the car, when there’s a line at the pool bathroom (or when Emerson wouldn’t agree to get out of the pool to go to the big potty), and at rest stops to avoid gross gas stations on road trips. It is a lifesaver!! #redneckportapotty Also, Flushable Wipes Game changer…

I have been to the movies approximately once since Emerson was born, but really want to go see this and this! These cows with blowouts made me laugh out loud. I want an excuse to make this party spread. These shorts are awesome and I’ll probably wear them next summer too. This time of year I always dream about our honeymoon and this hotel specifically. I don’t think I’ll ever find a view that’s better than this as long as…
I shared our first floor last month, and wanted to show you the rest of the house. We haven’t made as much progress upstairs, and although there’s lots I’d like to work on, buying nursery furniture/decor will take up the rest of this year’s house budget. Couch from West Elm / Kitchen from PB Kids/ Table from Skip Hop / Rug from PB Kids (similar) One of the things we loved about this house is the play area that’s at…
It seems everyone and their brother sister is writing that skincare post. I’m going to do the same because I’ve discovered so many great skincare/beauty/household products through blogs and social media. I want to pass along the favor to anyone who might be looking to try something new! It has taken me nearly 3 years to switch most of my skincare, makeup, and hair products to cleaner/safer alternatives both because I couldn’t afford to buy everything at once and because…
Thank you all for your lovely comments on my announcement. I love hearing from you guys, and a lot of the comments about being pregnant with a toddler versus having a newborn with a toddler were reassuring that I’ve got this:) — We got lots of April showers over the past three days, but that didn’t stop us from having a fun weekend. Sadly, the neighborhood Easter egg hunt was cancelled, but we still hosted the brunch after-party we had…
Welcome to my house! I can’t believe we’ve only lived here for 3 months – it feels so much like home. My neighborhood is the kind of community I’ve always dreamed of, and I’m so happy we stumbled upon this house (it’s not in a neighborhood we were originally targeting). Plus, Emerson is absolutely thrilled to have a yard and is glowing ear-to-ear whenever she plays outside. We’ve made a lot of progress in getting the house set up, but…
We got these Serena & Lily dining chairs to replace the uncomfortable old wooden ones that came with our table. We opted for outdoor bistro chairs because they are so much cheaper than upholstered chairs and figured they’d be kid friendly. This video made me smile (and want to get up and dance). I tried this Beautycounter mascara and this popular mascara, and ended up just going back to old faithful, Lights, Camera, Action because they were both bad.…
-I’ve become obsessed with this Chilaquiles inspired scramble for lunch. It’s just a small handful of Red, Hot, & Blues chips (or some scraps from the bottom of the bag) sautéed in salsa. I add frozen spinach for nutrition and then scramble 2 eggs in the middle of the pan and top the whole thing with guac. Hits.the.spot. -Matt and I have a date night planned in Greenwich Village this weekend and I’m so excited for one last dinner in…
Hi y’all, How’s it going out there? Emerson skipped her nap today, so I took her out in the stroller to try to get her to fall asleep. Stroller naps are now the only time I can browse in stores anymore. Em pretty much hates shopping, and I always feel guilty making her go with me unless it’s essentials from the grocery store or Target. I got to thinking how I do almost all of my shopping online these days.…
