Another snowy day at home… I actually spent the morning finishing a report. I don’t want to get too behind with all of these surprise vacation days. The best part of working from home is having the flexibility to work out whenever and to decide what I want to eat for lunch in the moment. I went to a noon time spinning class with an instructor I’d never had before. The class was quite interesting. We did five long hills…

Hi guys, How was your weekend? I was able to fit a lot of fun stuff into my mini getaway to the Berkshires. Since our trip was only a one-nighter, we decided to start the vacation before we even left Boston with more pumpkin pancakes on Saturday morning. After picking up our rental car in Cambridge, we made a pit-stop in Newton to check out the Great Harvest!!! They had samples of an amazing pumpkin bread with gooey cinnamon. After two hours…
Ahhh, my day off was nice:) The morning didn’t go exactly as I an envisioned though because I had to do some report writing (which took longer than I had planned) and spinning was a bit of a disappointment. I hadn’t ever been to the Tuesday class because I’m usually at work and I didn’t really care for the instructor. She was very nice, but we did a lot of long sprints with virtually no resistance on the bike. I’m…
It’s so cold outside, but these flowers have been warming up my apartment all week. I’m not used to have something so delightful in my living room. Today was great. I felt normal, got a lot accomplished at work (including finishing my first report!), and I enjoyed some free time at home. I also got re-aquatinted with the gym with an unexpected and surprisingly enjoyable run on the treadmill. Tomorrow, I’m headed to a bullying conference in the ‘burbs. Is…
Home, sweet home:) It’s so green and peaceful here. My dad is the king of produce and he had ton’s of different kinds of apples for me to choose from for breakfast this morning… It was so nice to just sit around last night and this morning! Lillian enjoyed snuggling up to Matt…females love him. My mom and I went on an awesome Target trip and I got all the stuff I can’t find at the right price in Boston:…
Well, my nose is finally running. I feel horrible, but at least the cold I’ve been waiting on for three days has arrived and I can get it over with. No pictures of meals today because they were oh so boring and un-appetizing. Hopefully, my taste-buds will be back tomorrow because I’m hoping to eat a little somethin’ sweet when I arrive down south. Since I have no food photos, I thought I’d entertain you with my latest fall purchase.…
I can feel it coming — the first sore throat of the year:( Hopefully it’s nothing because I’m going home on Friday!! I’ve been meaning to make chicken salad for a while because I thought it’d be good for lunches and because Matt loves it. I found some free-range organic chicken at a great price this weekend. It was on the bone, so I figured it would the perfect opportunity to put a fall twist on chicken salad. Surprise! More…
As I was saying last night, I took a walk in the mall yesterday instead of going to the gym. I knew there were a lot of events going on for Boston fashion week and I was hoping to stumble upon some action (and I had to return a shirt). I got lucky because look what I found: A fashion show put on by Copley Place! I got there towards the end, so I didn’t get to see a whole…
Hello. A good part of today was spent cleaning and getting organized for the start of my adult life on Monday. To fuel my morning, I enjoyed a AB, oats, jam, and banana parfait topped with oatmeal squares and a drizzle of Kodiak mountain berry syrup. Perfectly delightful, if I do say so myself. This morning I also went to a Healthworks spinning class. If felt sooo good to be in a class again; I’ve really missed spinning over the…
