I’m officially obsessed with all things wedding. Now that I’ve figured out my job for next year, I’m no longer stressed with the idea of planning a wedding! And the worst is over – we have a date, a venue, and a tentative guest list. So I’ve moved on to searching for inspiration – I’ve been spending time every night searching for bridesmaids dresses, centerpiece ideas, honeymoon resorts in Greece, wedding bands – anything wedding related, I’ve been searching for…
Life
It comes once a week – you know it’s my fav: the Mexican bowl! Although there’s no big bowls in my sublet, so I had to eat this on a plate. Well, I was able to scoop up most of it with chips. Speaking of bowls. I love Atlanta; I love our little apartment here, but I think I’m ready to be in my own space again. It’s funny how I notice the little things about being away from home.…
After eating out a bazillion times with the parents and the birthday/holiday celebration in the middle of the week, I was in need of a low key weekend. Friday night, Matt and I met two Atlanta friends for burgers at the famous Vortex. I had the guac black bean burger and it was honestly one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had. I also looved the zucchini fries on the side. Too bad this left me a bad stomach…
I love that there was a weekend in the middle of this week! Tuesday was Matt’s birthday, and since we love nothing more than eating out, I took him out! I had made reservations at a neighborhood restaurant, but once it started to pour, I changed our plans at the last minute. I figured since we had to drive, we might as well venture out of the neighborhood. So we headed to Rathbun’s in the Old Fourth Ward. We stopped…
To my handsome and wonderful fiance- “Growing old is mandatory; growing up is optional” – Chili Davis Here’s to another year of growing young on this incredible journey! Though we celebrated with our families this weekend over a buttercream cookies-n-cream ice-cream cake, you bet I’m taking him out to dinner this evening:) HAPPY BIRTHDAY MATT!…
Having free time this summer has been fabulous. I’m doing a lot of lounging and just taking time for myself. Here are some of the things I’m enjoying: TJ’s coconut water popsicle’s – they’re sweet and tropical and make me feel like I’m hydrating (even though there’s prob not enough water in them to do a thing!) My new gym! This is the first time I’ve ever joined a gym! I’ve always just gone to my school’s gym (Davidson, Northeastern,…
I took myself to the pool today! My the public pool is nice – there was even a mini lazy river! I’ve found that I’m much less tolerant of the heat and sun these days, so I took advantage of the adult swim to cool off. The temperature was perfect. And there was a nice breeze. I packed an avocado and hummus sandwich, along with a juicy [over] ripe peach for lunch. It was quite fun. Late afternoon, I hit…
Sometimes six hours in the car isn’t the worst way to spend a Monday:) I packed snacks and listened to all my old cd’s from high school. It’s weird how songs can bring back specific memories. Highlights: Ataris – San Dimas High School Football Rules Tim McGraw – Greatest Hits Cd Jo Dee Messina – Burn Cd The Starting Line – Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now Reality Bites Soundtrack Where The Heart Is Soundtrack Jimmy Eat World – Clarity Cd…
We ended our beach trip with one last champagne celebration and our tradition of beach donuts on Tuesday morning! And now I’m back and home, finishing up my second-to-last week of work and frantically packing for our ten-week trip to Atlanta (I’m driving Matt down Friday and then returning to finish the school year). Between our trip to Boston, our engagement, the family beach trip, the end of the school year, packing and moving to Atlanta, trying to figure out…
