I had a relaxing but not productive day at work. Oh well, isn’t that what Fridays are for? Sometimes I wonder if the world could function on a 4 day work week. Probably not. Group classes at my gym started again today and spinning.was.hard! Whew. I’m on the couch and really don’t feel like moving a muscle. I hope Matt’s in the mood to cook for me:) I’ve got to find the strength to get up at some point though…

I’m home sweet home in chilly but cozy Boston. Let’s see, where did I leave off? Oh yes, another delightful meal. I ate really well on this trip:) After some exercise in Charlottesville (I biked while they ran), we headed out to a cute bakery/cafe for lunch. Matt and I split a big bowl of veggie chili for lunch …along with a shrimp and herb cream cheese omelet with gouda cheese grits. Kath encouraged us to get a biscuit because…
Thanksgiving at Matt’s was just dandy. After an hour stint at the local Gold’s gym, a beer tasting ensued. The Mad Elf Ale was BEER-tastic! It reminded me of a darker and less-sweet version of the Sam Adams Cherry Wheat. Definitely a new favorite. The other two beers were nothing to write home about and, honestly, the winter ales are all starting to blend together. Meanwhile, Matt’s mom was hard at work, cooking a fabulous dinner. I had planned on…
Good afternoon bloggies, I practically bounded out of bed this morning because I was so excited to have a free Saturday. Between last week’s case study and our mini-trip, I feel like I haven’t had a Saturday to just do things around the house. Despite how I was feeling yesterday, Friday evening ended up being very nice. It was actually really fun to have an excuse to take a nap on a Friday afternoon, and I woke up feeling ten…
Hi guys, I whipped up a little guac this afternoon for the girls book club meeting tonight! The book was Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, which I just couldn’t get through in time for the meeting. I still enjoyed the discussion, but after talking about the plot in-depth, I think I’ve had enough murder and sexual violence for now. The gathering was a nice break in the middle of the week. I enjoyed lots of fun food, friends, and wine.…
Hi Friends, It’s not even 6 o’clock yet and I am cozy on the couch feeling quite sleepy. I went to spinning at 4 and sat like a zombie on the bike. Is it sad that I could be content with calling it a night and staying right where I am? I just really really hate going out in the cold and my body is not used to the temperature yet. Note my newest clothing obsessions below: the Target ‘riding pants’…
Ahhh, my day off was nice:) The morning didn’t go exactly as I an envisioned though because I had to do some report writing (which took longer than I had planned) and spinning was a bit of a disappointment. I hadn’t ever been to the Tuesday class because I’m usually at work and I didn’t really care for the instructor. She was very nice, but we did a lot of long sprints with virtually no resistance on the bike. I’m…
Hola Friends, Yesterday was Monday, but it was kinda like Friday, because I’m relaxing at home today!!!!!!! My school couldn’t accommodate interns at the professional development day, so our supervisors told us to take the day off. Though I’m going to have to work on a report, I’m also going to a noon time spinning class and I may treat myself to a target trip this afternoon. Man, I could really get used to having a day to myself during…
Today was pretty typical. It didn’t really feel like Halloween because all of the festivities took place Saturday night. I went to a noon-time spinning class and then threw together a smorgasbord of things we had lingering in the fridge for lunch. I had a lot of cleaning to do today becauase I haven’t been doing very well with keeping my apartment clean during the work week. I tend to pile my clothes onto my desk chair, so I always…
