I’m finally getting around to writing a post about our trip to The Cloister at Sea Island! When we first booked this trip, we dreamed of a post-covid, vaccinated vacation where we could return to normalcy. We used Meg to find the hotel and book the trip, and decided to splurge a little bit since we haven’t stayed at a hotel/resort in 18 months! Little did we know that Delta would rear it’s ugly head. We debated cancelling many times,…

We had an awesome family beach week at Oak Island! We usually go to Bald Head, but after 2.5+ hours in a hot mask in the ferry line (low capacity due to COVID) last year, we decided to take a year off (you have to book big beach houses a year in advance so we weren’t sure what this summer would be like). We loved experiencing Oak Island, especially because my in-laws will be moving there this year! There are…
On the last day of 2020, I thought it would be fun to share my favorite things from the year: APL shoes – these were a big postpartum splurge and I was hesitant because I didn’t know if they would be worth it. So worth it! I have worn these SO much in 2020 – for errands, walks, workouts. Love them! The beach! I’m so glad the beach was a safe activity this year (well, maybe not those crowded beach…
-We’re finally converting Em’s crib to a toddler bed and I’m nervous – how many times will she run out of her room during bedtime before she actually sleeps? -How is Avery 5 months old? She’s starting to scoot herself around the rug and I’m surprised when she’s moved so much. Starting solids soon! -I’m simultaneously getting very nervous and very excited for the election. And Charlotte is hosting the RNC:) -We’ve had so much warm weather and have been…
The less important advice I wish I had received before I had kids:) Get an upholstered headboard. You will be thankful you have something soft to lean against in the middle of the night because you will be awake in the middle of the night for various reasons for years. Never get too comfortable with a sleep schedule. It will likely change. Never buy white anything – your clothes, their clothes, household items…just don’t do it. Similar to introducing fruits…
-I’m definitely procrastinating packing for the wedding weekend by writing this post. -The baby kicks have been getting big this week, and Matt and I are still kind of in awe that another one is coming!! -We are trying Sunbasket this week and I really like it! It’s less work than Blue Apron and better quality than Hello Fresh. I don’t think we could afford to do it every week (a friend gave me her code), but it has been…
I’ve been really into J Crew Mercantile since I discovered it in Dallas. Matt and I stopped by the outlets last weekend and I snagged this dress plus sandals and earrings (I keep buying studs – will I be able to wear dangle earrings again soon?). Speaking of shopping, where can I buy good, white V-neck tees? I used to buy them at Target, but now they are that clingy, sheer fabric. I want a thick tee that won’t stick…
