Thanks for sharing my birthday with me. All of your comments made it that much more special:)…
Twenties
On this day, a quarter of a century ago, I entered the world as the [strange-looking] daughter of Barbara and Cliff. Don’t worry, I grew out of those cheeks (well, kind of). Check out our dresses and the autumn leaves in the background…no wonder we are so fond of fall. And maybe this explains my love of classic plaids? I pretty much look the same today as I did back then, no? Now that I’m working, having a Monday birthday…
…has been spent with Matt (well, as of my birthday next week). Today is our fifth anniversary! We met my sophomore year in college and gradually started dating. Since we don’t have one specific day when anything became official, we just celebrate on October 12th because it was the first night we spent time together, chatting on the porch of a fraternity on a typical Wednesday night. Matt had long hair when I met him, so I thought he was…
There seems to be a lot of talk about the New York Times article about 20-somethings (thanks to those who shared it with me!). Since I’m a 20-something myself, I thought I would use this post to comment on the article. Check it out here. If you haven’t read it, it’s basically about how 20-year-olds in this day and age are taking longer to reach adulthood (if you can even define adulthood) because many of them are using their twenties…
I’ve had a delightful day thus far. The weather is gorgeous and I’ve had time to work, relax, exercise, and be outdoors — I love days where I can fit everything in without feeling rushed. I fit in some time on the stair climber this morning and then ate a yogurt…

I slept late today because I’m still recovering from my trip. Speaking of the weekend, I thought my recent festivities might be a good…
I’m currently at the airport enjoying an apple. Apples are my favorite snack! I also had a ham and cheese sandwich with the little guys when I was babysitting earlier. We went on a nice outing to the park! Check out this poor bulldog who had to wait outside the gate while his family played. As I mentioned before, I’ve spent a good part of my summer babysitting and I’ve really enjoyed trying to see things from the perspective of…
Welcome to my very first post!! I hope to have an ‘About Me’ page soon, but in the meantime, I’ll give you the rundown. I graduated from a small liberal arts college in North Carolina in 2008. Like many people, I think of my time in college as the best four years of my life. I had (and still have) an incredible group of friends; I loved my classes and found my passion for psychology; and I met my amazing…
