Whew. What a wonderful whirlwind of a wedding weekend! We flew to Philadephia early Friday for my sister-in-law’s (Matt’s younger sister) wedding! While the early morning flight went smoothly, the airport was packed. In an attempt to avoid bag check fees, we brought too many bags, and ended up leaving one of Matt’s at the crowded gate. Arg. Because it was our fault, we couldn’t figure out who to contact and no one at the airport would answer the phone.…

Hello, hello. I’m sorry it’s been a while. There’s a lot going on, which I’ll tell you about soon. As I’m sure many of you saw on social media, my sister’s wedding was last weekend! We had a fabulous time, and I’m thankful our travel went smoothly! We arrived in Charlottesville on Friday, and had a lovely cocktail party with the family that evening. Saturday, we ate a fun lunch on the downtown mall, and by late afternoon, it was…
I traveled back to Matt’s home state of Maryland this weekend for a lovely wedding by the water. Though it was a quick trip, we were able to spend Friday night with Matt’s parents in Annapolis. They took us out on the town for an awesome seafood dinner and then to a prohibition-era bourbon bar with delicious cocktails. It was so nice to see them and spend some time in the beautiful harbor town. On Saturday, we made the short…
Matt and I attended a lovely wedding at the W Hotel this weekend. The bride is the little sister of my good friend Liz, and she was so sweet to include us in the festivities. I think this is the very first time I’ve gone to a wedding in the same city in which I live! It was great to be able to hop in the car 30 minutes before the service. The church was just beautiful and the bride…
Hello! I’m back from a quick trip to NC! The timing couldn’t have been worse for this wedding, but I couldn’t bare to miss the opportunity to see friends and family. I flew in late Friday and back on Sunday. I got to see both my sister and Mazen and my parents for Friday dinner! We hit up Tyler’s in our old stomping ground in Durham. I enjoyed a beer and a pork belly sandwich before heading over to the…
Our trip to New York felt so fast because we packed a ton into 2 days! We were in the city for the wedding of two of my Davidson friends – they fell in love when we studied abroad in Cambridge! We arrived Friday afternoon, and after walking around for a couple of hours while Matt worked, we headed to Chelsea to meet friends at Buddakan – this has been on my list for a while because I love fusion…
I had a wonderful trip east! It was so nice to be back in NC and see so many family members and friends. I visited my grandma in Baltimore first, where I met up with my mom. We did some shopping and lots of eating. I was even able to see Matt’s mom who drove up and joined us for dinner! On Friday, I headed down to NC to my childhood best friend’s wedding. After a year, it felt…
